Strategic Plan
In the Fall of 2021, AFA stakeholders-consisting of a seven member Board of Directors joined by dedicated staff committed to a future casting endeavor resulting in an updated Strategic Plan. The intent of the process was to establish a bold and clear pathway for enhanced growth and development by 2024. Building on the “Black women voices will be heard” mantra, our organization’s leadership deliberated for approximately twelve months on the who, what, when, where and how of AFA’s future community engagement model and all it should encompass.
The Final 2022/2024 Plan includes a refined Vision, Mission statement and Organizational Values authorized by the Board; the Guidepost is anhored with nine targeted stategic action components with goals and key milestones. These nine drivers are further classified into two distinct categories for performance maximization and monitoring – Internal (focus on the internal DNA and AFA brand) and External (ficus on the AFA values, contribution and offerings to community)
